How does cold water therapy help?

Cold water therapy involves taking ice baths, a cold shower or getting in cold body of water (usually below 14C). It boosts our mental resilience, health and recovery and there is no feeling quite like it! Plunging into the cold produces a joyful intoxication in the body that lasts for hours, the more regularly you do it the more you’ll see the benefits.

In our modern world our bodies often get stuck in a state of hyperarousal and stimulation where we find ourselves anxious, on edge, stressed and burned out. Getting in the cold hacks our nervous system and we stress up so we can stress down. It’s the ultimate reset.

It doesn’t just feel good, it has some incredible benefits too: weight loss, better recovery from training, lowers inflammation in the body, builds mental resilience and boosts our immune system.

Nature Treatment

I hold sessions in nature in various locations around Sheffield and the Peak District. We are blessed with so much natural beauty here and experiencing the power of breath and cold water immersion in nature is a powerfully healing experience.

Join me in a 1-1 session in nature and I’ll provide a safe space for you to immerse in nature which honours you and your surroundings. In these sessions you’ll be guided through breathwork and safe cold water immersion.

I am passionate about more people enjoying time in nature with an awareness of our impact on our beautiful spaces. These sessions will be sensitive to the environment and we will leave no trace.

 

Studio Treatment

My private practice is based at my home in Sheffield where I have a dedicated private breathing studio and ice bath which can be chilled to as low as 2 degrees if you like it really cold!

I can offer a welcoming, private and intimate space for you to experience the many benefits of working with your breath and the cold. The experience will be fully catered to your needs and you can experience a range of breathwork experiences and an ice bath experience with temperatures as low as two degrees depending on your individual requirements.

Towels and refreshments will be provided.

There is ample on street parking and access without steps if required.
